The bottle also uses a metal-less pump, so if the bottle isn’t being reused, it can be recycled as a mono-material without having to dispose of the pump separately. In its
current iteration, the Coconut Biomass Bottle reduces the bottle’s plastic use to 70%, with the company noting that it’s currently striving to eventually reduce the plastic proportion of the bottle to 50%. The reduced plastic use enhances the bottle’s hardness by 15%, and the coconut biomass material is evaluated by agencies including the FDA and the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive as being able to protect customers from endocrine disruptors and toxic substances

Not only the bottle but by placing metal-less pump which is made of basically the same material with the bottle, saves much time for recycling, disposal and disassemble.

As the bottle and the most parts of pump are made of PP which has advantage in recycling and disposal, it saves much time by throw them in recycling bin in one piece, no need to disassemble the parts (in case of decoration such as label attached, it needs to be removed).
Technical Details
This bio-mass material is made of organic bio-mass, mineral and etc, and it allows to reduce usage of oil resources and carbon dioxide emission up to 50% in manufacturing process.

These coconut bottle series follows 3R which are recyclable, reusable and reduce.
As we are using metal-less pump, client can throw them away as mono-material which means client doesn't need to worry about separate disposal.
TEAJIN is keep studying and researching to reduce the plastic proportion down to 50%.
