It controls water circulation in all layers of the skin, by stimulating the synthesis of lipids and proteins involved in the stratification of the stratum corneum. Aquaxyl acts to strengthen the skin barrier in 24 hours, reduces moisture loss, and after 28 days leaves skin visibly softer and smoother. Also within the formula are shea butter, murumuru butter, sweet almond oil, and Hydraglucose, a hydrating sugar molecule that not only increases epidermal hydration but also boosts the performance of the skin's natural hydration factor. Added to this, vitamins E and B5 act as antioxidants to fight free radicals and help maintain youthful skin. When testing the H2ONutri product, with an application time of two to three minutes, the product improved skin hydration by 21% and skin elasticity by 17%.

H2ONutri takes inspiration from hair conditioners. It is a body conditioner that you use after your cleansing. H2ONutri combines the nourishing and elasticizing action of active ingredients such as Sweet Almond Oil and Shea Butter with hydrophilic actives such as Hydraglucose and Aquaxyl. By binding to skin proteins, the latter maintains skin hydration even after the product is rinsed off, for soft skin and a feeling of deep comfort immediately after showering.

A powerful active ingredient has been included in H2ONutri: Aquaxyl, a molecular combination that acts on the reconstruction of the skin's water base. Aquaxyl acts as the control mechanism of water circulation in all layers of the skin. This mechanism, identified by Cosmetogenomics, controls circulation and water reserves by stimulating the synthesis of lipids and proteins involved in the stratification of the stratum corneum. Efficacy tests conducted on this active ingredient demonstrated a strengthening of the skin barrier in 24 hours, a decrease in moisture loss, and visibly softer, smoother skin in 28 days. H2ONutri was tested in the shower after cleansing, with no application time and 2-3 minutes application time, reporting an increase in skin hydration and elasticity. With an application time of 2-3 minutes, a +21% increase in hydration and a +17% increase in elasticity were reported. On the other hand, hydration increased by 15%, and elasticity was recorded by +13% without leaving the product on. The other active ingredients in the formula are plant oils, moisturizing kinds of butter, and Hydraglucose, a hydrating sugar molecule that not only increases epidermal hydration but also boosts the performance of the skin's natural hydration factor (NMF).

H2ONutri represents an innovative body care solution as it adapts to the needs of today's time-poor consumer who wants high-performance products that can perform multiple functions, including optimizing products and waste. Inspired by the world of hair care and the common concept of conditioner, with one product the customer can get the benefits of a moisturizer to use directly in the shower while infusing antioxidant actives. H2ONutri does not weigh down the skin but gives an enveloping sensation during massage and application. It rinses off very easily and immediately without leaving any residue.
How do you promote your product on multiple channels?
The online strategy for the launch of H2ONutri included a B2C communication strategy through different types of content: texts, videos, images, reviews, and posts published on Rhea's social networks. The offline strategy includes B2B communication with publications in trade magazines and initiatives in beauty salons, such as dedicated marketing media like posters, window signs, and displays to capture customers' attention. H2ONutri was presented as a preview at Cosmoprof Bologna 2024: to give it maximum visibility, samples of the product will distributed to potential customers on this occasion to let customers try it directly in one of the cabins at our booth. H2ONutri was launched together with HappyScrub – Body Scrub Cleanser. The two products were included in a limited edition “Shower routine” box with a promotional price for the Italian market in order to help estheticians sell the novelty right before the summer. The number of boxes sold were indeed outstanding during the very first weeks of the promotion. On the other hand, foreign distributors had the chance to participate to online webinars focusing on H2ONutri.
How does your product meet the evaluation criteria of its category?
For the creation of H2ONutri, Rhea Cosmetics was inspired by the world of hair care, bringing the concept of conditioner, understood as a product to be used in the shower to close the scales of the hair and give benefits in terms of hydration, softness, and radiance to the skin of the body. This is how Rhea Cosmetics' R&D department developed the idea of a body conditioner that allows for moisturized, soft, and revitalized skin with just a few minutes of application in the shower. The product meets the needs of today's consumer who seeks a product with quick but effective application that does not pollute the environment with unnecessary bottles, because H2ONutri can be combined with a post-shower cream, but it can also be used on its own, without the need for an additional moisturizer. The fragrance was chosen for its energizing notes that infuse a boost of energy upon use. Moreover, its function is not only moisturizing, but thanks to special active ingredients such as Panthenol, a precursor of Vitamin B5 (pro-Vitamin B5), used in processes and treatments for skin cell regeneration, and Tocopherol, which prevents oxidation reactions and acts as a biological antioxidant, H2ONutri improves the barrier function of the skin by improving its elasticity and protects against oxidative and free radical stresses.
